High Steer

Got questions?

High Steer

Postby tennbronco on Mon May 14, 2007 9:19 am

While I was washing the front of my 79 bronco I was noticing that my steering may cause me a clearance issue later down the road and was just wondering how hard it would be and what it would cost me to do a high steer set up on it.
Hammer down and hit it hard or get out of my way and let me do it !!!

Do either of your shocks mount in front of your radius arms? I think your drivers side does. You have to mount it back like the other one, then you could flip your steering over the knuckle. To do true high steer you would need flat top kuckles off a 77-79 F-250 axle.

Both of my shocks mount behind the axle on my radius arms. what would a set of those knucles cost and can I reuse the tie rod ends and center link I already have ? or do I need to purchase a special set ?

The flat top knuckles are about $125 for a set. You can sell your knuckles for about $50. You can reuse your stuff.
