I used an old set of jumper cables to get the distance to the new battery location. I have since been havin a problem with the cables gettin hot and or the battery dyin on me since. Does anyone know what the problem may be and how to correct it ? I am open to any idea cause I am runnin out.

The jumper cables you used were really beefy. It might be corrosion at the ends or crimps. The shieldign was sorta cracked up so it might be corroding from the inside. The best thing would be to get some thick welding cable and do it right.
